Saint Pauli's supporters; a bit different.
German side Saint Pauli has always done things a bit differently. Their fans are brilliant and the club has triumphed and failed in spectacular fashion throughout its history. However, this latest incident may take the cake. Shorthanded and needing an extra defender, Saint Pauli’s manager threw the club’s 30-year-old press officer into a match against Hanover 96. I may be rubbish at football – I am absolutely terrible – but this is every PR guy’s dream. Thanks to Brendan Hannan, Chicago’s own PR guru, for bringing this to my attention.
