I’m late on this one, but looking back on D.C. United’s First Kick weekend at RFK Stadium, it really was an amazing experience. There was Josh Wolff’s ridiculous goal celebration, Charlie Davies’ remarkable comeback tale, and the excitement and zeal of an opening night victory. Those of us that work in the sports industry, and specifically in media relations/PR, put in a lot of hours to make everything come together. For those 90 minutes each weekend the days of build-up and toil are more than worth it, and I couldn’t be happier we are back into regular season mode.
