De Rosario’s first week

Following last week’s blockbuster announcement that sent one of the best playmakers in MLS history to D.C. United, things have been interesting at RFK Stadium over the past seven days. It was tough to say goodbye to a quality player and teammate in Dax McCarty, but as Ben Olsen put it, “you have to give up something of quality to get something good in return.” Enter Dwayne De Rosario, a four-time MLS Cup winner and five-time All-Star, a player with undeniable pedigree and significant allure. Below are photos from his media scrum during his first day of training (courtesy of Ben Keller), as well as two game shots from Saturday’s derby match against Philadelphia (courtesy of Tony Quinn).
