There’s a reason some cliches are well-worn; people like them. RSL’s spot plays to the common reference to Rio Tinto Stadium as the fortress due to RSL’s dominance there over the past 2 years, and the fans love it.

Admittedly I got the NW bias but the New Boys to the MLS creatively are leaving the old guard in the dust. There’s a clever sense of humor and the idea that a club supporter is part of the cool crowd effectively portrayed in their spots while the other teams appear to rely on well worn cliches.
I think you would be hard pressed to differentiate the more veteran teams creative efforts from NBA. NFL or MLB campaigns. There are great images within them it’s just the general theme and strategy that needs to be more thought out.
That being said I think the bar being raised on every aspect of running an MLS team can only bring good things for the league.
