  • Responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of the Columbus Crew’s communications department
  • Primary areas of responsibility include team media relations, broadcast communications and digital

FOX Soccer • Manager, PR & Communications (2012)

  • Lead PR contact for all FOX Soccer media properties, part of the FOX Sports Media Group
  • Developed communications policy and strategy to promote network programming, content and personnel
  • Messaged exclusive coverage of the UEFA Champions League, Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and other global properties
  • Worked directly with international clubs to secure player interviews, press announcements and broadcast coverage
  • Placed FOX Soccer talent and executives in national and international media surrounding original content and programming
  • Oversaw day-to-day PR duties, including  release distribution, content promotion, media tracking and valuation reports, etc.
  • Managed social media content budgets in conjunction with FOXSoccer.com editorial staff and Chicago-based agency

D.C. United • Manager, Media Relations (2010-2012)

  • Media liaison for the most successful team in Major League Soccer history (12 domestic and international titles)
  • Primary team contact for local and national media: print, radio, television and online in fifth-largest U.S. media market
  • Traveled with club to every MLS venue over two seasons and all non-league competitions and international friendlies
  • Hired, trained and directed a team of four staff members, including club’s Communications Coordinator
  • Routinely placed club storylines in The Washington Post, New York Times, USA Today, ESPN and other national outlets
  • Developed and promoted content for all digital platforms: dcunited.com, club blog and social media accounts

Seattle Wolves FC • Director, Public Relations and Marketing (2008-2009)

  • Led club to 2009 United Soccer Leagues PDL Media Department of the Year Award out of 68 possible teams
  • Determined club’s overall marketing communications strategy and managed media relations department 
  • Primary liaison for local media partners, USL League Office and the United States Soccer Federation
  • Developed outreach initiatives such as Soccer Saves Golf Classic in conjunction with Seattle Seahawks/Sounders FC

Major League Soccer • Special Events / Communications (2009-2012)

  • Worked for MLS in various roles across several markets, beginning as a Special Events Intern at MLS Cup 2009 in Seattle
  • Worked three consecutive MLS SuperDrafts as D.C. United’s club PR representative between 2010 and 2012
  • Wrote daily content for dcunited.com and team blog that was repurposed for national platform MLSsoccer.com

  • Contributed weekly pieces that reached 300,000 unique visitors per month in 210 countries
  • Covered live matches from Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fulham and other English clubs
